Crock Pot Short Ribs with Green Beans



4lb short ribs or chuck meat (these are relatively the same cut of meat the only real difference is that the short ribs have a bone)

4 cloves garlic

1 small yellow onion cut into fourths

1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger or ½ tsp ginger powder

1 tablespoon honey

1 cup beef broth

3 tablespoons coconut aminos


Combine all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for 7-8 hours. You can marinate the meat the night before to enhance the flavor of the meat.

Once fully cooked top with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds

Toasted Sesame Seeds

In a small frying pan on medium heat, heat1 tsp of coconut oil and add ½  tablespoon of sesame seeds, toast until lightly golden.


Roasted Green Beans

1lb green beans

1 tablespoon olive oil for roasting

salt and pepper to taste

1 small shallot minced



In a bowl coat green beans with oil and seasonings, mix with shallots and roast on a baking sheet for 20 minutes at 400 degrees
